Repair Café Godalming gives support to Sensory Services
Several volunteers from RCG attended the monthly meeting of the Sensory Services group in the Wilfrid Noyce Centre recently. Thanks to the generosity of the people who have had their domestic items fixed in the repair café, we generated a surplus of donations last year and £300 of that surplus was donated to Sensory Services.
In the photo with our volunteers is Belinda Bowman of Sensory Services who explained how their charity works to help those with severe sight or hearing loss avoid social isolation. She introduced us to several of their members and we enjoyed a very happy coffee, and some birthday cake, whilst chatting with them and hearing their stories.
