Just about all domestic items, including garden tools, that can be safely carried into the cafe. Only one item at a time and each has to be registered separately. (but if there is no queue you are welcome to go round again with another item).
We cannot accept are those involving solid, liquid or gaseous fuels and the internals of clocks and watches.

Clothing and fabric repairs but not alterations or zip replacements. Please bring spares such as elastic and buttons if you know they will be needed. NOTE: We can only work on CLEAN clothing

Simple jewelry repairs including necklace chain untangling. please bring any jewelry repairs in early.

Unwanted computer hard-drive cleansing or destruction
By bringing owners together with skilled repairers in a friendly environment, so that together a fix can be achieved with the owner participating whenever that is safe to do. And this is all done at no cost to the owner for either fixing or refreshments – though donations are always welcome.
**Before bringing an electrical item, please check the following if you can:
if mains powered, the plug fuse is ok
if battery powered, all batteries are of the same type and full of life
are the battery contacts clean?
if with separate power supply, is it the correct one for the appliance
You never know, this check might just save you a journey.
After completing the above checks and you decide to bring the item in, please bring any associated leads and plugs.
We look at one item at a time but you are welcome to go round again if there is time. Each Item should be registered separately.
You will be greeted at our registration desk to fill in a short and simple item registration. Then you will be directed to a volunteer repairer.
No, we do not have pre-registration. Registration on arrival is usually quick. However you are welcome to inform us before the day about an item you will bring, and ask any questions.
All repairs are free of charge. However paying for necessary spare parts is the owner's responsibility.
No, we have no facility to dispose of items. There are recycle facilities in Guildford and Milford.
No. We cannot give a warranty, we are not a commercial service.
